| Mensagem: | Hi there In my opinion , native speakers are important to the language acquisition but if you want to LEARN a second language ,another points must be considered as :the relation teacher x student, classroom management, didatics, etc.You know, you must have a gift to deal with human relations to become a teacher or facilitator of the learning process. Otherwise ,all brazilians could be portuguese teachers! A teacher is a teacher. Even if he is sometimes a friend to the student, he is still the teacher and students always expect him to behave like that. I know how important is to speak with americans, it's their language and culture, But the best english teachers I've met weren't natives . Isn't it strange? That's my humble opinion! Cheers, guys! carmen |
