Tive oportunidade de falar com americanos (vivi varios anos nos EUA) a respeito desse topico e eles foram unanimes em dizer que o "t" eh pronunciado sim, eh so uma questao de audicao. Por exemplo, tente falar "intermittent e innermittent"; Pontiac e Ponniac" e eles notarao a diferenca.
Mas respeito sua opiniao uma vez que o Ingles eh falado em varios paises do mundo e nao apenas nos EUA e em algum lugar o "t" seja completamente abolido se pronunciando apenas o "n".
