| Mensagem: | I think that teacher has a problem. What kind of class was it? Ethics? Semantics? Logic? If a pickpocket steals a wallet and the owner does not know it was taken then the pickpocket has very good skills. The owner won't know it until he goes to pay for something or until he gets home and goes to empty his pockets. But just because no one saw the theft does not make it a crime. A crime was still committed by the pickpocket. If you are not at home and someone breaks in and steals your television without being seen is a crime committed? You betch'a!! Just because the porteiro or someone doesn't see the crime doesn't make it disappear. You still have been robbed of your personal belongings. If it was an exercise in logic then the students have to come to the conclusion that there was a crime even though no one saw it happen. Changing the subject: we are getting ready for a little rain today. There is a tropical storm almost in our area. The winds are about 90 km per hour. Coming along behind is a hurricane with winds about 150 km per hour. Everyone is stocking up with food, water and stuff like that. Me, I figure if we are forced to stay at home I can spend lots of time on the internet and in this Forum!! Tom |
