| Mensagem: | Yeah I know languages are supposed to be flexible, but when you're taking a written exam the teacher won't be flexible to correct it, even if he or she understands what you tried to say. I got that sentence from a Grammar book. You were supposed to rewrite "I have never been to Paris before" using the word FIRST. So my answer was "This is the first time I am in Paris", then I checked the answer key and it said "This is the first time I have been in/to Paris."...I don't remember the exact words but it was something like that. I just wanted to know if it is possible to use the Simple Present in this case. Well that's it, enough of weird doubts for today lol Regards, Jennie |
