Dear Sirs, I am a qualified ESL teacher who is currently teaching in Korea, at a private 'Hogwan' academy. I have an interest to teach/lecture in Brazil. I seek your assistance in obtaining contact details or general guidance on how and where to apply for teaching/lecturing positions in the republic specifically (mainly in terms of emails, with contact names). I have an interest to teach in Brazil, as an ESL teacher/lecturer. I have previous lecturing experience back in the UK, where I taught at a college. I am at present working full time, Monday to Friday in Korea. I started work here in July 2005, and I am seriously considering about relocating. 1) I have a basic law degree with honours from the UK finished in 1996.
2) I finished my 'Masters In Law In Development' from a very prestigious university, Warwick university in 1997 in the UK. The Masters examined the relationship of first world law applied to Third World societies through the mechanisms and work of the World Bank, IMF, UN and Multi-National Enterprises. 3) I am also qualified as a Barrister, advocacy lawyer from the UK, qualified in 2001. 4) I hold an ESL certificate. Since 2000 it has been a struggle to find an alternative career beyond law, in which I had invested so much. I searched for this in the UK, and in Europe without success. I believe I have now found very recently a new career, and that alternative career is teaching. I have taught in the UK before for more than one year, but a while back in 1996-97. After trying for seven complete months I finally obtained a job in Korea to teach English. I had an offer of work in Indonesia, but a natural disaster (earth quake) prevented me from taking up that post, back in April 2005. I have been doing my new job started in 18th July 2005--17th July 2006. I have a teaching certificate for ESL teachers. The job feels more like a hobby then a real challenging profession. I am teaching basic English to elementary school students (8-13). My workday begins at 1pm, with 2 two hours of lesson planning, followed by several classes. Most classes contain small number of students, and are very manageable. My work day finishes at 9 pm. My contact details are enclosed below, and you can e-mail me or write to me through your office as and when you feel appropriate. Yours faithfully, Mostaque A Ali.
