| Mensagem: | Your suspicions are absolutely true. Black Americans would rarely tell whites what they really think. When it comes to the issue of RACE, they tend to say even less, specially to someone who is from or grew in the south. The only time they say what they truly think is when they are among themselves. Any other time, they just try to sweet-talk yo'all-white folks. Even the college educated ones fall into these category. As for their desire to live in an homogenous country, I would have to say that the vast majority of them entertain the idea. Unfortunately, their resolve seems to be fragile. In an odd way, your message reminded me of them. They entertain the thought, but don't really go any further....You see, Pat, I feel like I am an expert when it comes to profiling different types of BROTHAS and SISTAS. Once again, this skill of mine is a direct result of my being an outsider and never being too enmeshed in my sorroundings. I'm kinda like the tought-pattern researcher version of the economic outsider who comes in and generates all the income from the "hood", through convenience and clothing stores.
