| Mensagem: | Hi! How've you been? I hope you are OK. I'd like you help me. Let me start. 1. I asked my students in a test "How are you?" and one of the answers was "I am nice, thank you." The question is: Is it correct? How to justify the answer. 2. One of the answers I learned to "Thank you" is "you're welcome". But if I use welcome as "bem-vindo a" I use it as "welcome to". When I ask the students to follow this instruction in a test: Welcome a group of people to "Caldas Novas" and they answer "you're welcome to "Caldas Novas", can I accept it as a correct response or not? What's the explanation? 3. We use "o'clock" when we have exact time, but what is the origin of this expression? What does it really mean? For now that's all! Thank you to read my message. I am waiting for your answer. BEATRIX. |
