I've been having problems translating the statement below into English.

We could come back from the beach on Dec. 27, but I "receio que talvez fique muito em cima da hora, since you have to fly back to Germany on Dec. 28.

I've realized I don't know how to say "ficar em cima da hora pra fazer alguma". The only expression I know is "at short notice", but I believe I couldn't use it in the translation of the statement in question. There might be another expression for that!
