José Roberto, I´ve heard the above called "vivid future" too. Although it will take place in the future, it is so real to the speaker that he uses the present.
You hear the same thing in Portuguese and Spanish. Aceita uma cuia? = Would you like some mate? Will you drink some chimarrão with me? ¿Bailamos? = May I have this dance? Would you like to dance? |
