very informative your answer. thanks a lot . Would you please just clear this sentence : as you said "Being blunt: there is no simple future tense in English, will is only another modal" , so , when we use will meaning future , it can't be called a tense ? All the sentences are modal ?we only have past tense ?Actually what does it mean to be a tense ?Why some grammar have future tense , future perfect tense , future perfect continous tense ? |
