| Mensagem: | Hi Renata, I've been living in the Tampa Bay area for 5 years now. Florida has a special ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) program for children enrolled in public schools. I've seen many monolingual Brazilian children starting at school with no English at all and just after a few months they're speaking English fluently. You shouldn't worry they'll do just fine, I guarantee you. After awhile your main concern will be that they don’t want speak Portuguese. Anyway, in the Miami area there is a bilingual English/Portuguese public school sponsored by the Brazilian Consulate. Their website is http://www.temapropaganda.com/miami/en/ All the best for you and your family, Wagner |
