Yep, in her "Different Drum" song lyrics one will notice that Linda Ronstadt indeed uses the expression. She actually ditches the guy in the song. By stating, rather singing, "You can't see the forest for the trees" she meant that her nagging or harassing lover or whoever wants to press for a relationship with her simply fails on his intent. Correct me. I like to stand corrected. |
