You maybe right.
When googled for "at the beginning" shows up 41 million times
" in the beginning" shows up 31 million times.
When anything shows up that many million times we can safely assume it is correct. The fine difference between the two I would not be able to explain.
However checking it out further, there are 376.000 occurences of
"In the beginning there was " versus only 36.000 of " at the beginning".
In this context I happened to read :
" In the beginning there was nothing. Then there was light, so you could see it all a lot better. "
That makes the Bible quite a funny book, don't you think?
