Grammarians and the usage panel have taught us, time and again, that you can turn an adjective into an adverb simply by ending it with -ly. My former American girlfriend did it a lot. "Oh, you've so, so gibberishingly expounded it..." she'd say something like that at times. If you look gibberishingly up in the dictionary, you will not find it. She would actually make her adverbs up in her own, precious way by dint of communication. All for the hell or fun of it. She'd do things "all-for-the-hell-or-fun-of-it'ingly." Mas năo tente isso em casa. Até eu mesmo acabei de inventar esse "advérbio". Outros elaborarăo melhores advérbios. E os nossos advérbios em -ente? |
