There were/are lots of jokes in the USA about the President's name.
Last night I watched "Good Morning, Vietnam!" If you haven't seen it, watch it. It's a very funny movie starring Robin Williams, one of America's best comics. In the film there was a joke about Richard Nixon. What is the affectionate name for (or at least the nickname of) men called "Richard"? (Ricardinho = Dick) Does it have another meaning in English? Damn right it does! In the film, they called Nixon "Big Dick".
I'm not telling you this to shock you or be vulgar, but these words are heard in conversations, on TV, etc. They exist, and as students of English maybe you should have some knowledge of them although you have no plans to use them. Vulgarities exist. It may be wise to learn some of the basic vulgar words so that you will not repeat them accidentally. This very thing has happened to me, and it has left me feeling very foolish.
