Sounds like Elisangela is looking for 'fútil' in the sense of:

 (pessoa) superficial -

   as in, ''If he´s only interested on your looks, that just show how shallow he is."

           (Se ele só é/está  interessado em sua aparência, isso só mostra quão fútil ele é.)

        (coisa, etc) insignificante ( not serious or thoughtful; not showing real understanding)-   as in, "Reviewers  called the book lightweight, shallow, and simplistic."

                                  (Os críticos chamaram/classificaram o livro como de menor  importância, insignificante, e simplístico/simplista.) 

And so on and so forth.
