    In this line of thinking, a monunemt is not something dangling in the space, this 'meters' there must come with a direction, let´s say, up or down, lenght, width etc.

  Not just 'meters', period.

  Hence, "The monument has thirty-two point five meters."  is to be replaced for something like:

   "The monument is thirty-two point five meters long/tall/wide/high."
