It's funny how animal sounds can be perceived in a totally different way as far as language goes. The other day one American asked me what a rooster sounds like in Brazil. My answer was something like, "co co ro co co". He was quite amused by that and kept on asking me about other animals. I'll be damned!! None of them actually matched.
What the heck, dude! Learning day-to-day English is hard enough, let alone having to cope with all these language nuances. Had I known I'd be in for such headache I'd consider twice before taking the plunge |
