I enjoyed going out "trick or treating" with my son when he was small. Adult neighbors often wore costumes and answered the door. It was a special night. Adults were always sure to be very afraid of the children! It was a lot of fun! When I was small, I attended parties at school. One of the games we played was "bobbing for apples". Apples would be placed into a tub (as in "washtub", not "bathtub") and water would be added. We would get on our knees, put our hands behind our backs, and then try to pick up an apple with only our teeth. It was fun! "Pin the tail on the donkey" was another popular game. (Surely this game exists in Brazil. What is it called in Portuguese?) I assume that "Google" would have many more ideas. |
