I jogged my memory and I also remembered that my child's elementary school didn't allow the following: fake blood, toy guns, and the masks but yet the faces could be painted.

Then the parents were invited to go to school at a certain time and the little ones would go on a Halloween parade inside the school going from class to class to show their costumes.

The last stop was at the school library where the kids were giving some treats by the school staff and their teachers.

It was a simple activity but I could tell those kids were having a blast.
