Dale, Really, we brazilians sometimes or many times, and I mean it from the bottom of my heart "f alamos sem pé nem cabeça" and we hope the other person will understand us. One time a friend of mine asked me, sincerely, how to say: Vou ao banheiro fazer minhas necessidades. I told him that Americans wouldn't like to know what he was doing in the bathroom and that he could simply say "I have to go" or "I'll go to the bath" or something like that. But in Brazil one can say "Vou ao banheiro" and another maybe will ask "O que você vai fazer?" I mean it...it may happen! When I was a teenager it bugged me really now I am older and people don't ask me that anymore. |
